Corto maltese corto maltese in siberia5/13/2023 ![]() Still, I enjoyed the book a lot in spite of that. I can only stuff so much stuff into my brain, I guess. Years ago, Janet Fitch's gorgeous White Oleander knocked Oprah's socks off, and when her long-awaited second novel, Paint It Black, came out, the writer talked about the nuts, bolts, and bolts of lightning of writing and how "in our imaginations, we can be anyone." ![]() ![]() ![]() ‘The Spirit Catches You and You Fall Down’ is the literal translation of the Hmong terminology for an epileptic seizure.
